In short

1. Who we are

TeamSorted is run by [your full name], a sole trader trading as TeamSorted, of [your business address]. We decide how your information is used, so we're the "controller" under UK data protection law.

Questions, requests or complaints: email info@teamsorted.uk, or write to us at the address above. Our ICO registration number is .

2. What we collect

WhatWhy
Your email addressTo sign you in (we email you a link and a code; there are no passwords), and to reply when you contact us.
The name you choose, and a photo if you add oneSo your group knows who's who on the pitch and in the stats. Photos are optional and show only in groups on Plus.
Your groups and your role in eachSo you see the right groups, and admins and organisers can run them.
GamesLine-ups, scores, the goals you or your organiser add, man of the match results, and the stats, player cards and awards worked out from them.
Man of the match votesWe record that you voted, and the vote itself, separately. They aren't linked, so nobody can see who voted for whom.
When you last used TeamSortedThe date and time you last opened it, whether that was in the browser or the home-screen app, and the type of device (for example "iPhone"). Your group's admins see this, to know who to remind about goals or votes. Each visit replaces the last one.
Guests' namesOrganisers can add a guest's name so they can be picked for teams. Please only add someone with their OK. A guest can ask us to remove or change their name.
Messages you send usHelp requests and Plus requests from a group's admin, so we can help. Ideas anyone can send from Profile, so we can make TeamSorted better: we can see who sent each one, so we can reply.
Problem reportsIf something goes wrong in the app, it sends us the error message, the page it happened on and the type of browser, so we can fix it. Kept for 60 days.
Payments for PlusIf you pay, Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store your card number. We keep a Stripe customer reference, what you pay for, the plan and renewal date, and whether the last payment went through.

Our hosting providers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep their services secure.

3. Our legal reasons for using it

We don't use your information for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't make automated decisions about you. Team draws are random.

4. Who can see what

5. Companies that help us run TeamSorted

These companies process information for us, under contracts that require them to keep it safe and use it only to provide their service:

CompanyWhat they doWhere
SupabaseDatabase, sign-in and photo storageStored in London (UK). Supabase Inc. is a US company.
CloudflareHosts the website, and forwards email sent to our addressWorldwide network, US company
ResendSends the sign-in emailsUS
StripeTakes card payments for PlusUK, Ireland and US
GitHub (Microsoft)Keeps our encrypted nightly backupsUS
Bunny Fonts and esm.shDeliver the fonts and part of the app's code to your browser. They see your IP address, not your account.EU and worldwide

Stripe also uses payment information for its own fraud prevention, as explained in Stripe's privacy policy.

Where information goes outside the UK, it's protected by the UK's adequacy regulations (including the UK–US "data bridge" for certified companies) or by the UK's approved data transfer contracts.

6. How long we keep it

7. Cookies and storage on your device

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. TeamSorted stores a few things in your browser so it works: that you're signed in, which group you last opened, and small settings like a dismissed tip. The free team picker remembers the names you type, on your device only: they're never sent to us. These are strictly necessary, so they don't need a cookie banner. When you pay, Stripe's payment page sets its own cookies to prevent fraud.

8. Keeping it safe

Everything is sent over encrypted connections. The database checks every request against access rules, so people only ever see their own groups. Backups are encrypted. Only we can reach the systems behind TeamSorted.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

You can also object to how we use it, and withdraw any choice you've made (like adding a photo). Many of these you can do yourself in Profile. For anything else, email info@teamsorted.uk. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

10. Age

TeamSorted is for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account. Please don't add children as guests.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
